Pepcid AC contain Famotidine treat the short term symptoms of heartburn, indigestion (dyspepsia) and excess acid. If you suffer from these symptoms after having a meal or beverage, Pepcid AC can prevent them from occuring. Pepcid AC an be taken before the evening meal to prevent night time symptoms of heartburn and indigestion that may be disturbing sleep.

For prevention of excess acid, heartburn and indigestion (dyspepsia) symptoms associated with meals, including nocturnal symptoms. Pepcid offers effective relief from indigestion, heartburn and excess acid. One small, easy to swallow tablet controls excess stomach acid for up to 9 hours.

• To relieve symptoms: Swallow a tablet whole with a glass of water as soon as symptoms appear. Do not chew the tablet.
• To prevent symptoms: Take a tablet with water before consuming food or beverages that typically cause heartburn.

How to take Pepcid AC Tablets?

Pepcid AC Tablets can be used by adults and adolescents over 16 years only.

Daytime Dose: Take one Pepcid tablet. If symptoms are associated with food or drink by taking the tablet 15 minutes before the meal

Nightime Dose: Take one Pepcid tablet within one hour before an evening meal to prevent night symptoms

Do not take more than two tablets in 24 hours. If symptoms do not improve after 14 days use or if symptoms get worse, you must contact your GP.

Warnings Before Taking Pepcid AC

Do not take Pepcid AC Tablets before talking to your doctor if you have lost weight unintentionally, or if you are over 5 years old and have indigestion for the first time, or if you have kidney problems.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding

If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult your doctor before purchasing or taking Pepcid AC Tablets.

Driving and using machinery.

Pepcid AC Tablets are not likely to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery however dizziness and visual disturbances may occur. If affected, you should not drive or operate machinery until it passes.

Common side effects (up to 1 in 10 people).

Common side effects include headache, dizziness, diarrhoea or, constipation.
