Description
Hylo-Tear is a high-quality lubricating eye drop designed to provide long-lasting relief from the symptoms of mild to moderate dry eye, such as itching, burning, or a “gritty” sensation.
The formula contains 0.1% Sodium Hyaluronate, a natural substance that forms a consistent, long-lasting moisture film on the surface of the eye. Unlike many standard eye drops, Hylo-Tear is completely preservative-free and phosphate-free, making it exceptionally gentle and well-tolerated even with long-term use.
- Advanced 0.1% Formula: Provides a stable moisture film without blurring vision.
- The HYLO System: Features a unique airless pump dispenser that guarantees one exact drop per click and prevents contamination.
- 6-Month Lifespan: While most eye drops must be discarded 28 days after opening, Hylo-Tear remains sterile and usable for 6 full months.
- Contact Lens Compatible: Safe to use with all types of hard and soft contact lenses without the need to remove them.
- Preservative & Phosphate Free: Reduces the risk of irritation and corneal damage.
- Excellent Value: Each 7.5ml bottle provides at least 300 equal drops
How to use:
Normally one drop of Hylo-Tear three times a day, can be instilled into each eye. If you use Hylo-Tear more frequently or if you symptoms persist or worsen for more than one week after first use, please consult your Eye Specialist or doctor.
The HYLO bottle is different from standard “squeeze” bottles. For best results:
- Remove Cap: Pull the cap off with a rotating motion.
- Prime the Pump: Before the first use, hold the bottle upside down and press the base until the first drop appears.
- Application: Tilt your head back slightly, pull down the lower eyelid, and press the base firmly to release one drop into the eye.
- Close: Gently close your eye to allow the fluid to spread evenly. Replace the cap immediately.
How often can I use Hylo-Tear?
Hylo-Tear can be used as often as needed. Most users find that one drop, three times a day in each eye, is sufficient to manage mild dryness. Because it is preservative-free, there is no limit to how frequently it can be applied.
What is the difference between Hylo-Tear and Hylo-Forte?
Hylo-Tear contains 0.1% Sodium Hyaluronate and is designed for mild to moderate dry eye. Hylo-Forte contains a higher concentration (0.2%) and is a thicker drop intended for severe or chronic dry eye conditions.
Can I use this with other eye medications?
Yes, but you should wait at least 30 minutes between using Hylo-Tear and any other eye drops or ointments. Hylo-Tear should always be the last drop applied (unless using an ointment, which goes last).
