Description

Brolene 0.15% w/v Eye Ointment is to be used for the treatment of minor eye infections such as “sticky eyes”, conjunctivitis and inflamed eyelids in adults and children.

Brolene Eye Drops contain a medicine called propamidine isetionate. It is used for minor infections of the eye or eyelid. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria, allowing your body to fight off minor eye infections. Signs of infection include sore, red or inflamed eyes, stickiness or a crust on the eyelids.

How to use:

  • Wash your hands and gently clean the affected eye or eyelid.
  • Pull down the lower eyelid and apply a small amount (about 1cm) of ointment inside the lower lid or along the eyelid, once or twice a day. Do not let the tube touch your eye.
  • Wash your hands afterwards. Vision may be blurred briefly after applying.
  • If your symptoms have not improved after 2 days, stop and see your doctor.
  • Do not wear contact lenses while using this ointment. It is sterile – throw it away 4 weeks after first opening.
