Colief Infant Drops is the original lactase enzyme. Colief Infant Drops is formulated to provide reassuring relief for the symptoms of colic caused by temporary lactose intolerance.

Colief contains lactase, an enzyme naturally occurring in our bodies that helps break down complex sugar lactose found in milk, dairy products, breast milk and infant formulas. Colief Infant Drops are a new safe & natural approach to infant colic. Rather than attempting to treat the symptoms of colic, Colief allows babies with Transient Lactase Deficiency to enjoy their normal feed whilst greatly reducing the digestive discomfort associated with colic.

Colief Infant Drops contain the naturally-occurring enzyme lactase. When added to the baby’s usual milk, Colief breaks down most of the lactose and makes the feed more easily digestible. Lactase enzyme drops for adding to infant formula or breast milk to reduce lactase content. For the first few months of life some babies may have difficulty in fully digesting the lactase in milk. This can be an important factor in some babies with colic. When used as per instructions, Colief infant drops break down the lactose contained in milk ( breast milk and infant formula) into simpler sugars, glucose and galactose.

Colief Infant Drops can be safely used from birth onwards. Colief should be used for as long as it takes the infant to “grow out” of its lactase deficiency, which it should do by gradually producing its own sufficiency of lactase enzyme as the gut develops – typically at around 3 – 4 months.

How to use:

Colief Infant Drops can be added to the baby’s milk each time you breast or bottle feed. Do not give the drops to your baby directly. Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully. Do not use if the seal is broken on the bottle.

• Breastfeeding with Colief: 4 Drops -Express a few tablespoons of breast milk into a sterilised container. Add 4 drops of Colief Infant Drops. Give this to your infant on a sterilised spoon before initiating breastfeeding. Breast feed as normal.
• Using Colief with formula: 4 Drops – Prepare your infant’s formula as per manufacturer’s instructions. Add 4 drops of Colief Infant Drops to the warm (not hot) formula. Wait 30 minutes, shaking the formula occasionally, then feed your infant as normal, making sure that the formula is at the correct temperature. Discard any unused formula.
• Making formula in advance using Colief: 2 Drops – Prepare your infant’s formula as per manufacturer’s instructions. Add 2 drops of Colief Infant Drops to the warm (not hot) formula. Store in your refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours before use and use within 12 hours. Feed your infant as normal making sure that the formula is at the correct temperature. Discard any unused formula.
• Using Colief with ready-made formula: 4 Drops- Warm the formula. Add 4 drops of Colief Infant Drops to the warm (not hot) formula. Wait 30 minutes, shaking the formula occasionally, then feed your infant as normal, making sure that the formula is at the correct temperature. Discard any unused formula.

Please store in an upright position. Once opened refrigerate when possible and discard after 3 months. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after best before date stated on the pack.
