Derbac M Liqud 0.5% W/ W Cutaneous Emulsion 150ml

Description

Derbac M Liquid is used to treat head lice, pubic lice, their eggs, and scabies. The active ingredient is Malathion 0.5% w/w, which helps eliminate lice and their eggs effectively. Use according to the instructions, a single application of Derbac M liquid can kill head lice, crab lice, the scabies mite and their eggs. Should a member of your family need treatment with Derbac M liquid check other members of your family for live lice with a detector comb and treat if necessary.

How to use:

Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use. Adults, the elderly and children aged 6 months and above:

For Head Lice:

1. Shake the bottle
2. Apply sufficient liquid to dry hair to ensure that no part of the scalp is left uncovered. Work into the hair spreading the liquid evenly from the roots to the tips.
3. Allow the hair to dry naturally
4. Leave on the hair for 12 hours or overnight
5. Wash the hair with normal shampoo
6. While the hair is still wet, comb with an ordinary comb. A fine toothed nit comb can then be used to remove dead lice and eggs
7. Wash hands after application

Infants under six months of age should only be treated under medical supervision.

To Treat Scabies

• Apply to the entire skin surface
• In adults it may not be necessary to apply above the neck
• If used in children under the age of 2 years, a thin film of the liquid should be applied to scalp, face and on the ears but not inside the ears, avoiding the eyes and mouth
• Do not wash off or bathe for 24 hours.If hands or any other parts must be washed during this period, the treatment must be reapplied to those areas immediately
• The treatment should be repeated after 7 days

Driving and using machines

Using this product is not known to affect your ability to drive or use machinery.

Possible side effects

Like all medicines, Derbac M can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If you experience any serious side effects please consult your doctor.
