Active Iron Pregnancy contains Active Folic to help reduce the risk of neural tube defects (NTD) as well as a sustainably sourced Omega 3 capsule. As well as being one of the best prenatal vitamin and mineral formulations, Active Iron Pregnancy Plus is also suitable for use during and post-pregnancy.
Active Iron for Pregnancy Plus is specially developed to optimise vitamin and mineral absorption while being kind on the stomach.
With blood volume increasing by up to 50% during pregnancy there is an increased requirement for iron. Iron helps to support normal energy production and reduction of tiredness and fatigue, as well as supporting immunity, cognitive function, oxygen transport and red blood cell.
Omega -3 DHA supports foetal brain and eye development.
Folic acid helps to reduce the risk of your baby developing neural tube defects and supports maternal tissue growth during pregnancy. Vitamin D supports normal cell growth and division, and contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function. Calcium is needed for maintenance of normal teeth and bones.
Directions for use:
Women pre, during and post pregnancy (including breastfeeding) take one capsule of Active Iron, one capsule of Omega-3 DHA and one tablet of complete multivitamin with water or fruit juice. Active Iron is gentle enough to take on an empty stomach. Do not exceed the daily dose without consulting your doctor or pharmacist. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
