Description

Diclac Max Relief Gel 2% is a topical anti-inflammatory treatment designed to relieve pain and inflammation in muscles and joints. It contains diclofenac diethylamine, which belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Ideal for sports injuries, sprains, and strains, Diclac Max Relief is formulated for convenience, requiring only two applications a day to provide long-lasting comfort.

When applied directly to the skin, the gel works at the site of pain to help reduce inflammation and ease discomfort, making it suitable for localised injuries without the need for oral medication.

This gel is used for the short-term treatment of mild to moderate pain associated with conditions such as:

  • Sprains and strains
  • Sports injuries
  • Muscle pain
  • Joint pain

When you are dealing with a sports injury or joint pain, you want a treatment that works quickly and lasts. Diclac Max Relief contains the active substance diclofenac diethylamine, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that directly inhibits the enzymes responsible for pain and swelling.

The 2% formulation is specifically designed for short-term treatment in adults and adolescents aged 14 and over. Because it is more concentrated than standard gels, it stays active in the tissue longer, meaning you only need to apply it in the morning and evening for all-day relief.

Key Benefits

  • Double Strength (2%): Provides more active medication per application for moderate pain relief.
  • Twice-Daily Application: Only requires use every 12 hours (morning and evening), offering greater convenience than 1% gels.
  • Fast Absorption: The non-greasy gel formula is absorbed quickly into the skin to reach the inflamed joint or muscle.
  • Localised Action: Targets pain exactly where it hurts, reducing the need for oral painkillers and minimising systemic side effects.
  • Large 100g Pack: An economical size for treating larger areas like the back, shoulder, or knee over several days.

It is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over and is available through pharmacies without prescription for short-term use.

How to use:

Diclac Max Relief is for external, cutaneous use only in adults and adolescents aged 14 years and older.

  • Dosage: Apply a small amount of gel (the size of a cherry to a walnut, approx. 2g to 4g) to the painful area.
  • Frequency: Use twice daily (ideally morning and evening).
  • Maximum Dose: Do not exceed 8g per day.
  • Application: Gently rub the gel into the skin. Wash your hands immediately after use (unless your hands are the area being treated).
  • Duration: Do not use for longer than 7 days without consulting a doctor.
