Description
Kwells Hyoscine Travel Sickness Tablets are used for the quick and effective prevention of travel sickness. This can also be referred to as motion sickness. These tablets are suitable to treat or prevent motion sickness anmd should be taken 20-30 minutes before travel. Kwells tablets are deisgned to melt in your mouth, no water is needed to take this medicine. Kwells tablets last for around 4-6 hours.
The active ingredient is hyoscine hydrobromide 300 micrograms.
Our pharmacists often recommend Kwells tablets to prevent travel sickness, especially for shorter duration travel such as flights, bus journeys or ferry travel. If the journey is early in the morning, Kwells can be vey useful in that they only need to be taken 20-30 minutes before the journey begins and will last for 4-6 hours.

How to use:
For adults and children over 10. 12 tablets each containing hyoscine hydrobromide 300mcg per tablet. Kwells are for prevention of travel sickness. Kwells can be taken up to 20-30 minutes before the start of your journey to prevent travel sickness occurring, or at the onset of nausea. Oral use.
Children over 10 years: 1/2 – 1 tablet every 6 hours if required. Do not take more than 1 1/2 – 3 tablets in 24 hours. Tablets may be sucked, chewed or swallowed.
Adults: 1 tablet should be taken every 6 hours. Do not take more than 3 tablets in 24 hours. Elderly users should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking kwells.
Not to be given to children under 10 years.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding
Do not take Kwells Hyoscine Travel Sickness Tablets if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breast feeding unless recommended by your doctor.
Do NOT take Kwells Tablets if any of the following apply to you
- Allergy to hyoscine hydrobromide or any of the other ingredients
- Glaucoma
- Blockage of intestines (paralytic ileus)
- Narrowing of stomach outlet (pyloric stenosis)
- Myasthenia gravis
- Enlarged prostate gland
Driving and using machines
Effects should be monitored before driving and using machinery as these tablets my cause drowsiness. If this occurs you should avoid driving or the use of machines.
Common side effects.
Some common side effects include drowsiness, blurred vision, dilated pupils, dry mouth and dizziness. Some people also experience an increase body temperature due to decreased sweating.
