Description

Nurofen for Children is a specially formulated oral suspension for children from 6 years, designed to relieve pain and reduce fever. The active ingredient (which makes this medicine work) is ibuprofen which is a non-steroidal-antiinflammatory (NSAID) painkiller.

Dosage:

Shake the bottle well before measuring the dose. Using the syringe inside to measure the dose accurately. A measuring spoon is provided to ensure accuracy. Double-ended measuring spoon (with a 2.5ml bowl, with 1.25ml inner mark at one end and a 5ml bowl at the other end.

For use in children from 20 kg body weight (6 years) to 40 kg body weight (12 years)

• 6 to 9 years (20 – 29 kg): 5ml (200mg ibuprofen) (one 5ml spoonful) 3 times a day in 24 hours
• 10 to 12 years (30 – 40 kg): 7.5ml (300mg ibuprofen) (one 5ml spoonful and one 2.5ml spoonful) 3 times a day in 24 hours

Do not dose more frequently than at 6 to 8 hourly intervals.

Cautions:

• Not suitable for children under 6 years of age unless advised by your doctor.
• This product should only be given to infants aged 6 years who weigh less than 20 kg.

• For short term use only.
