Warnings & precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have liver or kidney problems, or are on a low-salt (sodium) diet, as the soluble tablets contain sodium. Avoid other sources of caffeine such as tea, coffee and energy drinks while taking it. Tell your doctor if you take flucloxacillin, as combining it with paracetamol carries a risk of a serious blood and fluid problem (metabolic acidosis). Talk to your pharmacist if you need to take it daily for a prolonged period.
Pregnancy & breastfeeding
Not recommended during pregnancy, and breastfeeding should be avoided, because of the caffeine content. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
Possible side effects
Side effects are rare. Too much caffeine (including from tea and coffee) can cause difficulty sleeping, restlessness or a faster heartbeat. Stop use and seek urgent advice if you notice an allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling, breathing difficulty), skin peeling or mouth ulcers, or unexplained bruising or bleeding.
Always read the label
This is a medicine. Always read the label and patient information leaflet before use. If symptoms persist, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
