Description

Nurofen Durance 200mg Medicated Plaster delivers ibuprofen, an anti-inflammatory painkiller (NSAID), directly to the site of pain for up to 24 hours. It is used for the short-term relief of local pain from acute muscle strains and sprains close to a joint of the arm or leg, in adults and adolescents aged 16 and over. The flexible plaster moves with you and can be worn day or night.

How to use:

Use one Medicated Plaster every 24 hours

Step 1 – Remove plaster from sachet by tearing / cutting along dotted line

Step 2 – Remove film (A) and place plaster on intact skin

Step 3 – Remove film (B) stretch plaster slightly and smooth as you apply to skin

Step 4 – Remove film (C)

Step 5 – Stretch plaster slightly and smooth as you apply to skin

Who should not use it

Do not use if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory painkillers (NSAIDs) or any of the ingredients, or if you have ever had asthma, wheezing, itching, a runny nose, rash or swelling after taking these medicines. Do not apply to broken, damaged, infected or diseased skin.

Warnings & precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have or have ever had asthma or allergies, or stomach ulcer, bowel, heart, kidney or liver problems. Wash your hands after applying, and keep the plaster away from your eyes and mouth. The plaster contains menthol.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding

Seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding. Ibuprofen should not be used in the last three months of pregnancy.

Possible side effects

The most common effects are at the application site – redness, itching or a rash. Remove the plaster and seek medical help if you notice signs of an allergic reaction such as a widespread rash, swelling of the face or throat, or breathing difficulty.
